Republicans can still dump Trump

There still is time for Republicans to dump Donald Trump. That is, unless they believe the bile and hatred he is spreading.

Surely, if they want to, they can figure out some parliamentary way to stop Trump from getting the delegates he needs at the Republican Convention.

That is, unless they really want this man being the face of their party, and leading the entire GOP into the Dumpster.

Trump, without a doubt, is the most nauseating presidential candidate in any of our lifetimes.

And in the last week, he has even outdone himself.

There was the attack on the ethnicity of the judge who Trump doesn’t feel is worthy of judging the Trump University fraud case.

There were his hideous tweets after the Orlando shooting, in which he was saying, basically, see, I’m right about Muslims. And he patted himself on the back. Yep, nothing like making one of our nation’s worst tragedies all about yourself, bozo.

There was more anti-Muslim hate coming out of his mouth after that.

He also doubled down on saying we need access to guns.

There is more.

And the fact that millions of people voted for him in the primaries is an American embarrassment. Anybody who would vote for him should be ashamed.

Republicans in high places – like House Speaker Paul Ryan – somehow say they don’t agree with what he’s saying, but they’ll support him. Sorry, folks. If you support him, that means you support the trash he spews. You can’t just wash off part of it.

If Republicans are smart, they’ll figure out a way to deny him the nomination.

A president should inspire us. Do you think President Trump could inspire anybody except the worst of the worst?

The GOP still has time to figure out a way to dump Trump.

Unless they really don’t want to.
