UPDATE: I-80 crash kills Sharon High student

A crash on I-80 in Liberty Township has killed a 14-year-old girl.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers report an SUV flipped over at about 6:15 p.m. after hitting a tractor-trailer.

The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, 21 WFMJ-TV, reports the deceased was going to be a 10th-grader at Sharon High School. Grief counselors will be available to students beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at the school, 1129 E. State St.

The collision also injured another teenager and an adult. The OSHP has not yet released the names of the victims. The incident remains under investigation.
