Mom gets six years in prison for child endangering

YOUNGSTOWN

Tamara Julious, 31, was sentenced today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to six years in prison after a jury convicted her last month of four counts of child endangering.

Julious said nothing on the advice of her lawyer because she will be appealing her convictions before Judge Maureen Sweeney handed down the sentence.

Prosecutors said Julious abused two of her four children, ages 8 and 9 at the time of the abuse, by banishing them to a room with no toilet, withholding food from them when they were punished and beating them with belts.
