Heavy storms causes temporary closure of Mercer County road

MERCER, PA. — State Route 173 is closed to through traffic in Mercer County from the intersection of Georgetown Road in New Lebanon to County Line Road in Frenchcreek Township due to storm-related damage to trees and utility lines, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced.

Message boards have been placed to direct traffic along detour routes.

The road is expected to remain closed until 8 p.m.
