YWCA preview party and art show begin

YOUNGSTOWN

YWCA of Youngstown’s 34th annual Women Artists: A Celebration! art show will begin with a preview party from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave. Tickets are available by calling 330-746-6361, ext. 102 for information.

Beginning Saturday viewing will be from noon to 4 p.m. and will continue Mondays through Saturdays through July 15. Hours will be until 7 p.m. on Thursdays and the show is closed July 2, 4 and Sundays except July 10.

Stephanie L. Smith, professor of art history at Youngstown State University, is juror for this year’s event.

The show will include 125 works by 71 artists 18 years and older and will feature paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and metal work.

Home Savings Charitable Foundation is the major sponsor.
