Fight between man and woman involves gunfire

YOUNGSTOWN

Police responding Monday to a fight with gunfire between a man and a woman about 10 p.m. at a 3114 South Ave. bar found two handguns in the parking lot.

Reports said officers pulling into the lot saw Johnny Hodges, 22, of East Midlothian Boulevard, next to a trash bin and that Hodges matched the description of the man involved in the fight.

Reports said Hodges told police he was arguing with a woman "supposedly pregnant by me." On the ground next to the trash bin officers found a .38-caliber revolver and a .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun.

A gunshot residue test was taken on Hodges and he was taken to the Mahoning County jail on a charge of carrying concealed weapons.
