Young Professionals of Lawrence County Host Second Community Series


NEW CASTLE, PA. — Young Professionals of Lawrence County is hosting its second “Spark Your Community” from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Arts + Education at The Hoyt, 124 E. Leasure Ave.

Young professionals 40 and under who live, work, or are interested in Lawrence County are encouraged to attend. YPLC will have the opportunity to view the exhibits, tour the period house and hear from the executive director, Kim Koller-Jones.

The plan is to develop, inspire and engage more executive speakers and travel throughout the New Castle community to experience and appreciate the quality of arts and entertainment in Lawrence County. The group will enlist in educational sessions such as development trainings, orientation to board of directors, local government functions, how to run for public office, and introductions to running candidates’ platforms.

YPLC leadership team includes, Jessica Tomczyk, president; Lisa Lombardo, vice president; Angie Urban, secretary; Ginny Jacob, treasurer.
