AUCTIONS
A fundraising quarter auction will take place Thursday at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 Meridian Road SE, Austintown, for Never Muzzled and PAWZ 2 Adopt. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the auction at 6. There will be more than 90 prizes and door prizes. Tickets are $5 and include a bidding paddle, a drink and a door prize ticket. Pizza slices cost $1. A variety of vendors will be present. Never Muzzled helps dogs get adequate shelter and provides dog food to needy families. The Music Plays On Quarter Auction will take place at 7 p.m. June 23 at DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal St., Youngstown. Doors open at 6:15. It will benefit the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra Community Outreach Program, which supports programs for artist-driven musical literacy classes to students, musical ensemble training for children age 10 to 18, school release and school-site youth concerts and Stained Glass Concerts at neighborhood houses of worship. Tickets are $10 and include a bidding paddle. There will be a cash bar and snacks available for purchase. Prizes of gift certificates and theatre memorabilia will be given. CRAFT SHOWS
St. Jude Church, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, is seeking vendors for its annual craft show planned for Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in its activity center. FESTIVALS
Celebrate Poland is looking for craft, art and nonprofit vendors. Cost of $30 will rent a 10-by-15-foot space at the 10th annual summer event. A craft show also will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25. Call Barbara Banks at 330-757-4584 for details.
Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor, will sponsor a strawberry festival from 5 to 8:30 p.m. June 24 on the church front lawn, rain or shine, as part of Celebrate Poland festivities. Strawberry shortcake, ice cream, homemade cakes, hot dogs and Italian sausage sandwiches with chips and pickles, and beverages will be sold. There will be free face painting provided by the church’s preschool, live jazz, a 50-50 drawing and basket raffle. Proceeds will benefit the church’s youth programs and various events and activities sponsored by the parish life committee.

Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club, One American Way, Warren, will be the location of the annual Pink Ribbon Golf Classic on July 18. The cost is $110 per golfer. Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 8 a.m. with the shotgun start at 9. The 18-hole four-person scramble will be followed by lunch, a basket auction and raffle. West Side Cats, 2217 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will host a Father’s Day raffle and drawing Saturday. It will feature a 48-inch Insignia LED TV. Salem Public Library is preparing for a used book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul School gymnasium, 925 E. A guided motorcoach day tour of “True Polish Treasures” will take place Aug. 16 in Cleveland. Jesus the Key Ministries and Men of Faith, the producers of Rally in the Valley, will host a bus trip to Lancaster, Pa, to see the show “Samson” at the Sight and Sound Theater and “Crooners” at the American Music Theatre on July 12 and 13. On Dec. 6 and 7 a trip will include “Samson,” a Christmas concert at American Music Theatre and a meal at the dinner theater, the Dutch Apple.
