Warren man faces firearm charge after shooting incident

WARREN — Anthony Zachery, 43, of Parkman Road is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and driving under suspension after being arrested at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, accused of firing a handgun twice into the air from a van at Plymouth Avenue and Scott Street Northeast.

Police located a blue van like the one a witness described parked at the Circle K store on North Park Avenue and found Zachery in the driver’s seat and a handgun in the center console.

Zachery denied firing the gun, but the witness identified him as the shooter.

A passenger, Jessica Witt, 35, of Seneca Street in Niles, was charged with drug-paraphernalia possession, a misdemeanor. Zachery and Witt were scheduled for arraignment Monday in Warren Municipal Court.
