Today’s entertainment picks:

v Immaculate Heart of Mary Festival, 6 p.m. to midnight: This big festival features rides, gaming, carnival food, a rummage sale and music by J.D. Eicher at 7 p.m. The church grounds are at 490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown.

v Salem Super Cruise, starts at noon: Hundreds of muscle cars and hot rods will cruise the streets of downtown Salem amid a carnival atmosphere. It’s one of the area’s most unique festivals.

v “American Buffalo,” 7:30 p.m.: Opening night for this drama by playwright David Mamet ($17) at the Youngstown Playhouse’s Moyer Room; 330-788-8739.

v “Tarzan, the Musical,” 2 p.m.: This Disney stage show ($15, $13 for seniors and $12 for students) is being presented by Crown Theater at Main Street Theater, 5 N. Main St., Columbiana; crowntheaterproductions.org.

v Jim Frank Combo, 2 p.m.: A free afternoon concert outdoors at Firestone Park on East Park Avenue in Columbiana.

The 70th Annual Tony Awards (8 p.m., CBS): Late-night funny guy (and Tony winner) James Corden hosts the celebration of Broadway’s finest from the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Expect “Hamilton” to dominate. The hip-hop phenomenon leads all productions with 16 nominations, the most ever, and the cast is expected to perform an excerpt from the show.

“The Last Ship” (9 p.m., TNT): “The Last Ship” sets sail with a two-hour season premiere as Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and his crew continue their quest to save humanity after a devastating pandemic. Not to be negative, but it certainly is taking them a long time to do so.

“Ride with Norman Reedus” (10 p.m., AMC): This show follows “The Walking Dead” star and motorcycle enthusiast as he hits the open road to explore biker culture. Let’s hope he doesn’t run into any zombies.
