Major I-80 access ramp to close

The ramp from state Route 11 northbound to Interstate 80 westbound will close Monday and remain closed through early August for bridge construction, the Ohio Department of Transportation has announced.

The detour will be Mahoning Avenue to state Route 46 north to Interstate 80 westbound.

The work is part of a $91.5 million project to widen Interstate 80 from four to six lanes between state Routes 46 and 193.

Also, beginning Monday, state Route 165 in Springfield Township between state Route 617 and the Columbiana County line will be closed through late June for a culvert replacement.

The detour will be state Route 617 to state Route 170 to state Route 14.

The Beard Road bridge over the Ohio Turnpike in Springfield Township will be closed June 20 through July 3 for a bridge repair, the turnpike announced.

U.S. Routes 62 and 224 and state Route 46 in Canfield will have lane restrictions for repaving from June 20 until further notice.

In Trumbull County, beginning Monday, Interstate 80 at the U.S. Route 62 entrance and exit ramps in Hubbard and Route 62 from just north of I-80 to the Pennsylvania line will have lane restrictions until further notice for resurfacing and pavement repairs.

State Route 82 between state Routes 534 and 5 in Braceville will remain closed for one week through Friday for a culvert replacement. The detour is state Route 534 to state Route 5.

Beginning Friday, state Route 45 just south of state Route 88 will be closed through early July for a culvert replacement. The detour will be state Route 88 to state Route 46 to state Route 5 to state Route 305.
