Medical society alliance installs new president

CANFIELD

Elizabeth Roller recently was installed as the 77th president of the Mahoning County Medical Society Alliance at a luncheon at the home of Amanda Watanakunakorn of Canfield. Kris Firth, Ohio State Medical Alliance president, presided, and other officers installed were Tammy Engle, vice president; Paula Jakubek, treasurer; and Tricia Potesta, secretary.

Roller has been a member of the alliance for five years and served on various committees including TWIGS and the annual charity fashion show which raised more than $10,000 for the Rich Center of Autism in 2016.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Miami University and has been a field representative with the Girl Scouts/Southwestern Delta Region of Mississippi.

The medical alliance is a group of physicians’ spouses with the mission to educate and inform through health promotion, legislation and community service.

Her goals during office will focus on projects and fundraisers to help Compass, Family Services Rape Crisis Programs and Animal Charity of Ohio Inc.

Roller is married to Keith Roller, M.D., an anesthesiologist with Bel Park Anesthesia. They live in Boardman and have three children.
