Mahoning County 4-H offering summer camps.

Mahoning County 4-H is offering a variety of camp programs this summer, and 4-H membership is not a requirement for participation.

Camp programs will include outdoor activities, crafts, camp songs and learning important life skills such as responsibility, decision-making, cooperation, leadership and increased self-esteem.

For any youth age 5 to 8, there will be a Cloverbud Day Camp program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 27 at Southern Park Stables, Washington Boulevard, in Boardman. Highlights will include science activities and arts and crafts. Registration is required by Friday.

For children 8 to 14, Mahoning and Portage County 4-H clubs will offer an overnight camping program from July 3 through 9 at 4-H Camp Whitewood in Windsor, Ohio.

Daily activities will include campfires, singing, crafts, hiking, swimming, shooting sports, boating, games and more. Registration is required by June 28.
