Garden Guild winners named at the annual flower show

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR St. Michael Garden Guild of Canfield hosted its annual flower show, “Welcome to Ohio, the Heart of it All,” at St. Michael Church in Canfield. Lynn Hoffman of the Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown was the guest judge. The artistic division categories included State of Ohio, Ohio in Bloom, Spring Garden, Waterfalls and Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. Professional and advanced categories were open to members who have won blue ribbons. Winners, from left, were Kaaren Cabraja, houseplant; Mag Mitchell, 5x5-inch little bit of bloom; Debbie Sulenski, Best of Show, horticulture, iris; Carl Cartwright, Best of Show, Springtime in Ohio foliage; Joan Fergus, hydrangea; Sue D’Agostino, spring garden; Kaye Smith, state flower, carnation; Janet Murray, Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame; Liz Rehlinger, first ladies arrangement; and Mary Ann Silvestri, waterfall. Flower show committee members were Murray, Doe Gallagher, Rehlinger, Cartwright and Mitchell.
