Friends of Melana set Summerfest run

GARRETTSVILLE

The sixth annual Friends of Melana 5K run and 1 mile fun run/walk will begin at 9 a.m. June 26 in downtown Garrettsville as part of the city’s Summerfest event.

The race benefits Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma cancer research.

Registration is available at www.2016friendsofmelana5k.eventbrite.com or at the Friends of Melana booth at the festival or on race day.

Cost for the run is $25 or $15 for the fun run/walk.

Medals will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place finishers of each category.

T-shirts are guaranteed if registration is made online before Thursday.
