A chess teacher accused of sexually abusing two young students has been found guilty of two charges in his second trial.
The Columbus Dispatch reports a verdict against F. Leon Wilson was reached in less than four hours Friday. He was found guilty of two counts of gross sexual imposition, and not guilty of a third. A jury in an earlier trial ended in deadlock.
Wilson is accused of twice touching a 4-year-old at a preschool and a 7-year-old at an elementary school in April.
The 62-year-old Columbus teacher told the newspaper he was “extremely disappointed.” Wilson noted he passed a polygraph test. His attorney said there was no physical evidence in the case.
Wilson faces up to 14 years in prison. He’ll be sentenced July 29.
