Academy offers summer session

YOUNGSTOWN

Southside Fine Arts Academy will offer summer programming in collaboration with Neighborhood Ministries Center at Rockford Village, 1402B Dogwood Lane.

Sessions are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, Wednesday through Aug. 17.

Free classes in creative writing/poetry, choir, visual arts, dance and drum circle will be offered.

Classes are available to all children in kindergarten through 12th grades.

Lunch is provided each day for children up to age 18.

Later in the summer, programming will resume at Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 1420 Youngstown-Poland Road, with sessions from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, July 19 through Aug. 23.

The academy will work in collaboration with Top Hat’s Summer Youth Workshop on Thursdays.
