First Energy restores power to parts of Austintown and Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN

By 5:15 p.m., First Energy had restored electricity to all but about five of some 10,000 homes and businesses in Austintown and Youngstown that lost power today just after 4 p.m.

More than 7,000 customers in Austintown and more than 3,000 in Youngstown were affected by the outage, reported 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

First Energy said power was restored to all but 200 of those customers by 5 p.m., and that by 5:15 fewer than five were without electricity.

The cause of the outage was not immediately known.
