A priceless legacy of wisdom, love

As an eternal optimist, I have always thought positively. Recently I found a thought provoker in my archives, by an unknown author. I have excerpted some positive outlook paragraphs from it:

“If you think you are beaten, you are, If you think you dare not, you don’t. If you’d like to win, but think you can’t, it’s almost certain you won’t. For out in the world you’ll find success begins with a fellow’s will. It’s all in the state of mind. If you think you are outclassed, you are. You got to think high to rise. You’ve got to be sure of yourself, before you can ever win a prize. Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man. But sooner the man who wins, is the man who thinks he can.”

My oldest grandchild Michael Krieger with a master’s degree from John Carroll University stated in the forward of my book “Rag Man, Rag Man” that I taught him the more you love what you do the more you will enjoy it. He realizes this is a priceless lesson and one he will never forget.

Quoting Michael’s foreword to my book, “Grandpa’s goal has been to leave a legacy. His is not a legacy of money, it is a legacy of wisdom. It is also a legacy of love. No amount of money could provide for me all that I have learned from my Grandfather Michael J. Lacivita, filled to the brim with much love for life and more importantly with love for us, his grandchildren. The influence my grandfather has had and will continue to have on my life is enduring and profound.

“Rag Man, Rag Man” has been placed in 18 notable historic archives around the U.S.A.

Michael J. Lacivita is a Youngstown retiree and member of the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame and the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame.
