Youngstown man pleads guilty in federal court to sex-with-minor charge

YOUNGSTOWN — A 35-year-old city man has pleaded guilty in federal court to an information charging him with interstate transportation of a minor for sex.

David Guevara Sr. entered his plea this morning before U.S. Magistrate George J. Limbert.

Guevara will be sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Boyko at 11 a.m. Sept. 7 and faces 10 years to life in prison.

Guevara transported a 15-year-old girl from Ohio to Pennsylvania for sex on Sept. 30 or Oct. 1, 2015, the information says.

Guevara met the girl in July and engaged in sexual activity with her in a tent along the Mahoning River in Youngstown and continued that relationship with her in Philadelphia, the U.S. attorney said.
