Youngstown man to be sentenced in September after admitting to sex with minor
YOUNGSTOWN
A 35-year-old city man faces 10 years to life in prison after pleading guilty in federal court to an information charging him with interstate transportation of a minor for sex.
David Guevara Sr. entered his plea Friday before U.S. Magistrate George J. Limbert.
Guevara will be sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Boyko at 11 a.m. Sept. 7.
Guevara transported a 15-year-old girl from Ohio to Pennsylvania for sex Sept. 30 or Oct. 1, 2015, the information says.
The defendant met the girl in July and engaged in sexual activity with her in a tent along the Mahoning River in Youngstown and continued that relationship with her in Philadelphia, the U.S. attorney said.
