Students at C.H. Campbell Elementary School were treated to an ice cream sundae bar during the school’s annual Student Appreciation Day on May 13.

The ice cream bar was provided by the school’s PTO, and included such topping as chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, sprinkles, Oreos, gummy worms, whipped cream and, of course, the cherry on top.

The students enjoyed ice cream sundae bar outside in the afternoon and then got a half an hour to play on the playground.

Several PTO parent volunteers helped the students prepare their sundaes.

“We have had an awesome parent volunteer turn out today. Our CH parents are wonderful and we thank them for all their help,” said Cathy Flynn, Student Appreciation Day chair.

C.H. Campbell Elementary School’s Student Appreciation Day takes place annually at the school to thank the students for being good students and a great school year.
