Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado’ at the Morley

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning Valley Players will present Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” at 6 p.m. June 17 and 18 at Morley Pavilion, in the Wick Recreation Area of Mill Creek Park, off McCollum Road on the West Side. Admission is free.

The outdoor production will be a classic interpretation of the comedic battle of the sexes between the sharp tongued Benedick and his quick-witted foil, Beatrice. Director Mary Boldish James has abridged the script but left in all the comic bits. The cast includes Kage Coven and Katrina Mink in the lead roles. If it rains, the production will be at Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave.
