The president released a video today endorsing his former secretary of state, and also thanked Sanders for running a campaign that brought forth issues important to Americans and which the Democratic Party can rally around in November.
Sanders, Clinton's main rival on the campaign trail, said he would work with her to stop Donald Trump, the GOP's president candidate.
In his endorsement, Obama said: "I don't think there's ever been someone so qualified to hold this office."
Clinton said plans to campaign in Green Bay next week with the president.
Clinton's campaign announced today that she and Obama planned to campaign together in Green Bay on Wednesday.
Clinton says in an email that she and the president will "discuss building on the progress we've made and their vision for an America that is stronger together."
