City and YSU police catch man breaking into North Side home


YOUNGSTOWN — City and Youngstown State University police caught a man Wednesday afternoon suspected of breaking into a North Side home.

Marquis Williamson, 22, of Ohio Avenue, was taken into custody about 2:55 p.m. in the parking lot of a fraternity house in the 200 block of Park Avenue.

According to reports, police were called to a home in the 800 block of Ohio Avenue for a report of a man who broke a window and tried to break into a home. When police arrived, they found a man in the backyard of a home who ran away and jumped a fence before police caught him.

Report said a witness identified Williamson as the man who was trying to get inside the home. He was taken to the Mahoning County jail.
