Trumbull coroner gives initial ruling in Warren traffic fatality
WARREN — The Trumbull County coroner has ruled that Robert Spencer’s death Monday afternoon after a single-car crash on Tod Avenue Northwest was from multiple blunt traumatic injuries and was accidental.
Toxicology results to determine whether alcohol or drugs were involved will not be available for about eight weeks.
Spencer, 52, of Champion, was driving south in the 1600 block of Tod Avenue near Moncrest Drive when his vehicle went off the right side of the road and hit a tree, Warren police said.
He was not wearing a seat belt, the coroner’s office said. He was pronounced dead at ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
