FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


THURSDAY

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will host a dine-in or drive-through roasted chicken dinner from 2:30 until 7 p.m. Dinners will feature a half-chicken, choice of potato, vegetable, coleslaw, bread and butter. A children’s menu is available. Cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children. A family dinner option is available for $5 per person for a minimum of four people. Credit cards will be accepted.

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $7. Drive up to the door and someone will take the dinners to your car. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve your dinners. Leave your name, phone number, the number of dinners you want and approximate time you will arrive. A percentage of the profits is used for local mission projects.

Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, will host a drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m., or until sold out. Cost is $7 which includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. Pepperoni rolls are available for $2. To reserve your dinner or rolls, call 330-792-5889 the day of the sale. No need to get out of your car, just drive to the back of the church and your order will be brought to you. Meals will be offered every second Thursday of the month.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. sponsored by the auxiliary. Prices are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. Meals include meatballs, salad, Italian bread and coffee or tea.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005. Apple, cherry and cheese strudel is for sale. Order by calling 330-550-6628. Apple and cherry cost $10 each and cheese costs $12 each.

SATURDAY

Smith Corners Church, 3000 S. Canfield Niles Road (corner of Route 46 and Kirk Road), will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. There will be pancakes, eggs and sausage. The meal is free but donations are welcome. The breakfast takes place the second Saturday of each month, proceeds go to world missions of the Methodist Church.

Wayne Missionary Society of First Congregational Church will sponsor a Father’s Day breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at Wayne Town Hall, corner of routes 193 and 322, Wayne Township. The menu will include scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, pancakes and more. Dads can register to win a gift basket. Donations of a non-perishable canned good for the local food bank will be accepted.

TUESDAY

Columbiana First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., Columbiana, will have a drive-through ham dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The meal includes red-skin parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce and a brownie. A $7 donation is requested.

A listing of food sales and dinners is published Wednesday. Please submit information for takeout and sit-down dinners to the Society Department before noon Monday.
