Police arrest man after wife says he struck her

AUSTINTOWN — Officers arrested a man for allegedly hitting his wife in the Walmart parking lot, 6001 Mahoning Ave., because he thought she stole his bus money.

According to the police report, the victim told officers her husband, Dwayne Pixley, 48, no address given, grabbed her purse and hit her in the face after she cashed checks at Walmart Friday evening.

Pixley told officers he needed money to take the bus home, reports said, but the victim said Pixley wanted the money for other purposes.

Officers arrested and charged Pixley with domestic violence.
