MetroParks Lily Pond reopens

YOUNGSTOWN — Mill Creek MetroParks’ Lily Pond now is reopened to the public after closing at the end of April for a parking-lot rehabilitation project.

Although minor aspects of the project are still being completed, visitors now can access the pond, surrounding trails and the parking lot, a MetroParks representative told The Vindicator.

The MetroParks used grant funding through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for the project that improved the parking lot and added biofiltration areas.
