Niles woman ready for competition in Miss Ohio pageant
NILES
Stephanie Yasechko of Niles will compete for the title of Miss Ohio on June 16 through 18.
Her talent for the competition will be baton twirling, and her platform for Miss Ohio will be “Celebrating a Nation of Crashless Communication,” to eliminate accidents caused by using cell phones while driving.
She is a 2012 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She graduated summa cum laude May 14 from Huntingdon College, Montgomery, Ala., with a degree in biochemistry. She was a majorette for the Niles-McKinley marching band and also at her alma mater. She will begin a pharmacy program at Ohio State University in August.
