Mothers of Twins chooses Mother of the Year

Kelly Robertson of New Middletown was recently honored at a dinner at Mellilo Tavern as the 2016 Mother of the Year for the Youngstown Mothers of Twins organization.

She will represent the group at the Ohio Federation Mothers of Multiples Convention set for June 24 and 25 in Dayton.

Robertson has been married to Matthew Robertson for 11 years and is the mother to 5-year-old triplets, Matthew, Michael and Morgan.

She has been a member of Mothers of Twins since 2011, serving as historian, membership chairman, program chairman, TLC march for babies chairman and is currently vice president.

She is a NICU secretary at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, sits on the Parent Advisory Board for Akron Children’s Hospital where she mentors parents who share the same experiences she has and was chairman of Akron Children’s first NICU reunion in the Mahoning Valley.

She and her family served as the Ambassador Family for the March of Dimes in 2014, she volunteered for the March of Dimes Signature Chef’s event and March for Babies walks for the past few years and has been chairman of the Family Teams committee.

Robertson also volunteers for her children’s school and enjoys camping, canning, quilting and spending time with family and friends.
