MEDICAL
Podiatrist Dr. James LaPolla Jr., owner of Northeast Ohio Foot, Ankle & Wound Center Inc. in Howland and Brookfield, now has staff privileges at Akron Children’s Hospital.
This means that in addition to offering podiatric services at both of his offices, Dr. LaPolla is able to provide medical and surgical care of the foot and ankle for patients at any of the hospital’s campuses, including locations in Warren, Howland, Boardman and Akron.
AQUA
Aqua recently announced Peter J. Kusky has been named the director of operations in Ohio. Kusky has served as Aqua’s regional engineer since 2013.
In his new position, he will oversee all day-to-day operations for the company’s 33 water and three wastewater treatment facilities in 19 counties.

Michael Lytle, managing director of American Portfolios, located at 43 N. Broad St. in Canfield, recently attended the American Portfolios Financial Services Inc. Leaders Conference, recognizing those advisors and managers who had exceptional performance in business for 2015. Lytle was recognized for his commitment and dedication to both his practice and his clients.
WEALTH
Hermitage-based JFS Wealth Advisors, an independent wealth management firm with about $1.8 billion in assets under management, recently announced the promotion of Senior Lead Advisor Louis V. Colella to managing principal.
Colella’s advancement will make him an integral part in developing the firm’s strategic initiatives, leading functional teams, and implementing industry-leading wealth management practices across JFS.
BANKING
James E. “Jim” Dunlap has announced his intention to retire from Huntington Bancshares Inc. effective within 2017.
Dunlap is continuing in his role as senior executive vice president, director of regional banking and The Huntington Private Client Group as the company prepares for the acquisition of FirstMerit Corp., expected within the third quarter.
ACHIEVEMENT
The Oak Hill Collaborative announced that one of its Makerspace participants, Carol Busich, has successfully completed six months of Oak Hill Collaborative’s Hour of Code workshop.
Hour of Code is a workshop for neighborhood residents, students, the unemployed, and anyone interested in learning about programming. The beginning of a series of free lectures and workshops designed to impart basic familiarity with coding, hopefully with the result that it will lead to further education and possible careers.
