WARREN

Organizers of the Sunday Jazz Series starting this summer invite faith-based organizations to join them from noon to 2 p.m. Friday to discuss the series and how such events can bring together churches and other entities to address the community’s drug-addiction problem.

Friday’s session will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the Raymond J. Wean Foundation offices, 147 W. Market St. The jazz series will take place Sundays from June 26 to July 31 at the Warren Community Amphitheater.

The performances will feature acts such as the Top Notes, the Total Package Band and John Reese Project from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays and a closing performance 6 to 8 p.m. July 31 by Pastor Todd Johnson’s Youth Choir.

The Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County, The Basement Ministries and People Helping People invite leaders Friday to discuss how the series can best use music, food and fellowship to address the drug problem.

People Helping People will provide meals throughout the series. All fundraising will benefit the Basement Ministries.
