The Western Reserve Fish & Game Association, 1058 W. Third St., is hosting its Shooters & Scooters annual fundraiser today. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place Sunday.

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., with “Kickstands Up” set for 10:30.

Cost is $10 per rider and $5 per passenger.

There will be donuts and pastries in the morning and a picnic dinner on the return.

A “by donation” cookout will be held by CMP family members at one of the ride’s stops.

All registered participants will shoot at playing card targets, using range pistols, for their opening hand. They will throw darts for draw cards on the return.

The best-hand prize has been donated by Charter Arms. Additional prizes and plaques will be awarded.

High Power D-Day

North Jackson

Youngstown Rifle & Pistol Club, 8900 Shaffer Road, is hosting a High Power D-Day event at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Cost is $35 and includes ammo (30-06). All money goes to the VA Outpatient Clinic on Belmont Ave., Liberty. The clinic uses this donation to purchase items for its food bank.

Bring out your M1-Garand, 03 Springfield or 1917 Enfield and join in. If you do not have a rifle, the club has several M1-Garands that you can use. For more information, call 234-855-6909.

Shotgun class

The Portage Summit Field and Stream Club, 8504 state Route 224, Deerfield Township, will host a free intro to shotgun education class from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and 1:30 to 5 p.m. June 12.
