Mill Creek losing another administrator
CANFIELD
Less than a month after the resignation of Mill Creek MetroParks’ administrative director/treasurer, the staff member appointed to fill the role in an interim capacity also has resigned.
Mark Mrofchak, a staff accountant who the park board appointed at a May 16 meeting to the interim finance-director position, recently gave the MetroParks a one-month notice of his resignation. His last day is June 17, MetroParks human-resources director Megan Millich told The Vindicator.
The board also recently accepted the resignation of secretary Marie Brickley, whose last day at the Canfield office was Friday.
Mrofchak, a certified public accountant who worked for 30 years at the state auditor’s office, has worked at the MetroParks since April 2014, according to information provided by the MetroParks. Brickley began working there in April 2012.
Both resignations are because the two employees “got excellent opportunities at other places,” Millich said. “We wish them the best,” she added.
