UPDATE: YSU committee approves $169.7 budget and undergrad tuition freeze

YOUNGSTOWN

A Youngstown State University trustees committee today approved a $169.7 million fiscal year 2017 operating budget.

The Finance and Facilities Committee met this morning.

Last year's spending plan was $174 million, 2.5 percent higher.

Also approved is an undergraduate tuition freeze, as such hikes have been prohibited by the state for FY 2017. There will be, however, a 2.5 percent increase in graduate tuition.
