Child-sex videotape
HARRISBURG, PA.
A Mercer County woman is under arrest, charged with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl, videotaping the abuse and disseminating the recordings to other individuals.
According to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, Carissa Lee Vadala, 19, Anchorage Road, Sharpsville, Pa., was arrested Friday after an investigation by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section.
The investigation began after child-protective service agents received information from law-enforcement officials in South Carolina.
According to a criminal complaint, an investigator with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office in Walhalla, S.C., contacted the attorney general regarding evidence recovered during a separate child-pornography investigation.
The evidence consisted of a video that showed a woman sexually assaulting the 10-year-old victim, the sheriff’s office said.
Further investigation led CPS agents and officers from the South Pymatuning Township Police Department to execute a search warrant at Vadala’s residence.
