Man charged with shooting into Boardman home
BOARDMAN
Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on Wednesday arrested a Youngstown man wanted by Boardman police for allegedly shooting at a house in the township.
Edward Gibson, 18, of Vestal Road, is charged with misdemeanor aggravated menacing and felony counts of shooting into a habitation, discharge of a firearm into a prohibited location, possessing weapons under disability and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
He was lodged in the Mahoning County jail after he was arrested at his home Wednesday morning, and is scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here later today.
The charges stem from an incident reported Tuesday in which Gibson allegedly fired shots at a Western Reserve Road home, hitting a detached garage, according to a police report.
Gibson allegedly shot at the house because he was angry that someone who owed him $60 was not there to give it to him, a victim told police.
