UPDATE | Coroner's office ID's woman found dead at South Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — Dr. Joseph Ohr of the Mahoning County Coroner's Office today identified the woman found in a home in the 400 block of West Boston Avenue as Teonia Gowdy, 27, and said she died of a gunshot wound.

Her death is being treated as a homicide. It is the eighth in the city this year.
