Committee selects new YSU communications dean

YOUNGSTOWN — A Youngstown State University trustees committee approved selection of a new dean.

The University Affairs committee approved appointment of Phyllis Paul as dean of YSU's College of Creative Arts and Communication.

Paul, a University of Oregon professor, is to start July 1. Her annual salary will be $145,000.

Paul's appointment still must be approved by the full trustees board which meets June 15.
