Volunteers sought for UW Day of Caring

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Phantoms hockey team will volunteer for United Way’s 19th annual Day of Caring on Sept. 2. The day will begin with a kick-off breakfast at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St.

The event needs 500 volunteers to clean and board-up vacant properties on the South Side of Youngstown.

Every registered team of volunteers will be entered to win a luxury suite for a Phantoms hockey game in the coming season.

Participants can register any number of volunteers for their team online at ymvunitedway.org.
