SENIOR CITIZENS

Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screening will be at noon. Attorney Bruce Williams of Salem will discuss his hike to Mount Kilimanjaro. Sept. 12 will be a covered dish dinner at the church. Members with last names beginning with A-H should take salad and I-Z casseroles. Dessert and beverages are provided; take table service and serving utensils. Oct.14 will be a bus trip to the Mountain Playhouse in Pennsylvania for a performance of the musical comedy “Cowgirls.” Included is a meal of roasted pork chop or chicken cordon blue at the Green Gables Restaurant. Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet for their annual picnic at noon on Friday at Gianna’s Catering Hall. Phyllis Nolfi will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and other items. A 50-50 raffle and bingo will follow. New members are welcome and do not need to be Lowellville residents to join. S.O.A.R. Chapter 1-28-10 (Retirees of Local 2243 U.S.W.A. Copperweld Steel Co.) will have a catered free dinner from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Warren Moose Lodge, 674 Main Ave. SW. The picnic will be the club’s last meeting. Reservations must be made to George Perich, president, at 330-565-3860 by Aug. 15.

Steelworkers Retirees Local Unions 1330 and 1331 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road. Refreshments will be served and new members are welcome. There will be no meeting in September.

Youngstown State University Retirees’; monthly breakfast will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg. All retirees are invited.
