Pedestrian struck and killed in hit and run on U.S. Route 422 in Warren

WARREN
A 61-year-old Warren man was struck and killed while attempting to cross U.S. Route 422 in the city Saturday night.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Paul Rose of Warren was crossing Youngstown-Warren Road at Rogers Avenue when an unidentified vehicle traveling eastbound hit him.
After striking the pedestrian, the car fled the scene traveling eastbound, the patrol said.
Rose was transported to Trumbull Memorial Hospital by the Warren City Fire Department. Later, he was flown to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown, where he died.
Witnesses at the scene described the vehicle as a small, four-door green car, the patrol said, adding the vehicle should have front end damage, particularly to one or both headlights.
