GM recalling 33K 2016 Cruzes to fix headlight problem
General Motors is recalling nearly 33,000 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles from the 2016 model year, according to a report from carconnection.com.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the headlamps on some of those vehicles may have been improperly manufactured, which could increase the risk of a crash.
The headlamps in question were supplied by SL America, based in Michigan. According to NHTSA documents, a problem with the manufacturer's etching software meant that many of the lamps weren't marked with an important identifier code, which gives people working on the components instructions on how they ought to be aimed.
