CLINTON YOUNGSTOWN VISIT | UPDATE: Clinton speaking in Pittsburgh; fire marshal closes East gym

YOUNGSTOWN — Hillary Clinton is on the stage in Pittsburgh, about two or so hours behind schedule, and the fire marshal has closed the gymnasium at East High School, where a rally with the Democratic presidential nominee was supposed to start a few minutes ago.

The fire marshal made the decision about 7:20 p.m. with hundreds outside

the school. Most of those will be in the cafeteria just outside the gym only able to hear her speech. There are already close to 300 people in that area.

Ohio Senate Minority Leader Joe Schiavoni, a Boardman Democrat, said people outside will be upset when they get into the school, and be denied access to the gym.

The event was already moved from 7:15 p.m. to a 7:45 p.m. start, and isn't starting on time.

The East High parking lot has been full since about 5:30 p.m. forcing people to park on neighborhood streets. A few enterprising residents are charging $5 for parking and the make-shift lots are largely full.

Clinton will be joined at East High by Tim Kaine, the Democratic vice presidential nominee; ex-President Bill Clinton, her husband; and Anne Holton, Kaine's wife.
