Hearing for girl charged in homicide will be open to press coverage

A plea hearing for Bresha Meadows, 14, of Hunter Street Northwest, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Trumbull County Juvenile Court, and the hearing will be open to the press, a court magistrate says.

Magistrate Scott Bombeck said a bailiff for the juvenile court was incorrect in saying that Tuesday’s hearing would be closed and in giving the wrong time for the hearing.

Meadows is charged with aggravated murder in the shooting death early Thursday of her father, Jonathan R. Meadows Sr., 41.
