Bringing back Angiuli’s Farm Market “bigger and better”

Carl Angiuli, owner of Anguili’s Farm Market, said he is going to rebuild the market “bigger and better” after a devastating fire burned the structure beyond repair.

Green Township Fire Department officials said propane tanks used to fuel farming equipment at the market, 9610 Columbiana-Canfield Road, exploded Wednesday night. Firefighters from eight fire departments joined Green Township firefighters to battle the blaze.

There were no injuries, but the building was a total loss.

Angiuli said although he had partial insurance on the structure, he doesn’t know what or if the insurance will cover.

“The damage is just so extensive,” he said, adding he intends to build a bigger and better market.

In the meantime, Angiuli said there will be a temporary structure for the business once the area is cleared to clean up.

“We’re just waiting to get the OK from the [state] fire marshals [office],” he said.

Both Angiuli and fire department officials said cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, but the incident will be under investigation in relation to other produce stand fires that happened recently.

According to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, Cardinal Joint Fire District firefighters responded to another fire call at Robinson’s Fruit Market, on the corner of state Route 46 and Herbert Road, Canfield, on July 19.

There were no injuries, but most of the structure was lost.
