Poland library hosted a bike decorating event on June 24 for children to decorate their bikes for the Celebrate Poland parade.

Children brought their bikes to the Poland library to decorate them with red, white and blue decorations. Ribbons, stars, bows and other items were on hand for the children to choose from. Poland librarians Annette Ahrens and Jen Kuczek helped the children decorate their bikes.

The Celebrate Poland parade, which took place on June 24, gave the children an opportunity to ride and show off their newly decorated bikes.

“It’s a way to get prepared for the parade,” said Kuczek.

The supplies were provided by the Poland library and the children could spend the morning outside getting ready for the Celebrate Poland activities happening later that day. The children covered their bikes, from the handle bars to the wheels, in red, white and blue decorations. As they rode their bikes, the ribbon would blow in the wind.
