YNDC seeking AmeriCorps member

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp., 820 Canfield Road, is seeking a YNDC Revitalize AmeriCorps member for employment that will begin Sept. 2. Hours of service will be 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The position will be full time for one year of service, and average 40 hours per week for a minimum of 1,700 hours for the year. Evening and weekend service hours are also required. Hours will be flexible for members attending ABLE or postsecondary courses.

Compensation will include a living allowance, and the position will offer eligibility for the Segal Education Award upon completion of a year of service.

Under the direct supervision of the AmeriCorps REVITALIZE Program coordinator, the employee will complete five critical neighborhood stabilization activities in accordance with the program.

The employee will work with property maintenance staff and volunteers to complete components of these projects but also must be able to work independently.
