Walmart Foundation provides $35,000 to veterans Outreach

Veterans Outreach is one of 18 nonprofit organizations in Ohio that received a grant today from Walmart Foundation.

An area Walmart representative presented a check to the organization for $35,000 to support its “Serve Veterans NOW” initiative that provides meals to veterans in the area who are dealing with food insecurity.

The grants totaled $840,000 to celebrate a “Day of Giving to Fight Hunger.” The grants came from the Foundation’s State Giving Council. Walmart’s “Day of Giving” featured presentations in Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Massillon, Perrysburg, Youngstown and West Chester.
